Refurbishment of Muñoz Ramonet house, in Muntaner street in Barcelona, ​​into  the new library of Sant Gervasi - Galvany neighbourhood.

The new facility building  is located completely underground in relation to the level of the garden, occupying 2 floors below its slope and leaving the existing tower as the only exterior volume. The big bet of the project is to partially open the existing pond to generate a large central courtyard allowing light and air to get into the heart of the library.

The main entrance to the new facility is from the garden, through the historic gate of Avenir Street, as it has always been the natural way to enter. This decision allows to avoid access from a narrow sidewalk, and instead have a larger and more qualified space inside the plot that will also facilitate the access to the multipurpose room outside hours, becoming a complementary outdoor space for possible activities.
