Location of the municipal library and archive in the building of the old modernist schools, built in the early twentieth century.

The current building is enlarged with a semiunderground body that extends its plinth and an exempt volume that stands on it without interfering with the historic building. The position of the two bodies allows to maintain the central courtyard as an articulating space of the ensemble, a confined space that will allow to develop controlled activities in the open air.

While the historic building is being restored in its entirety, the new bodies are formalized with a contemporary language based on dialogue with the existing one in terms of tones, rhythms and compositional systematization.
